Parks in Pamplona
LA CIUDADELA
Pamplona's largest green space is La Ciudaela, a star-shaped citadel which once served as a key part of the city's defense system. Once Pamplona's military function was deemed obsolete, the massive complex was turned into a great leisure and culture area boasting walking paths, contemporary art structures, gardens and exhibition spaces.
PARQUE DE LA MEDIA LUNA
Set picturesquely astop a cliff overlooking the Arga River is the Parque de la Medialuna, a park in the shape of a half moon. Once you see it, you'll understand why this tranquil nook is such a favorite amongst the locals. The park connects to the Parque de Tejeria, the river park just north of the city running along the river.
***BONUS! Enforex's partner Spanish school in Pamplona is located right next to and provides beautiful views over this emblematic Pamplona park.
PARQUE DE LA TACONERA
Built in 1830, the Parque de la Taconera is Pamplona's oldest park, having been built in 1830. The French-style park has fountains, paths, exotic flowers and incredible views, all set in a romantic, tranquil atmosphere. It even has a tiny zoo where swans, deer, rabbits and other animals roam about.
PARQUE YAMAGUCHI
Adding an exotic edge to Pamplona's green spaces is the Parque Yamaguchi, one of Europe's very few Japanese-style gardens. The park is brimming with Japanese decoration elements, such as a stilt house, a pond with abridge and waterfall, a large geyser and trees and flowers brought in from Japan.
